I co-started a project to build a prototype for a reconneisance fixed-wing UAV.
I recruited and led a team of 3 to develop diverse software components.
Working within the team, I succeeded in improving ArduPlane operation without GPS input.

Surface mechanomyography
Fitness Tracker though surface mechanomyography (sMMG)
I started a team to produce a proof-of-concept intelligent fitness tracker. Our objective was to interpret mechanical movement of the body when exercising, surpassing basic metrics like pulse. We resolved to train a neural network on 9-axis motion and surface mechanomyography (sMMG) data.
We prototyped a data collection device based on an Arduino Nano 33 (seen in the image above). I built a responsive user interface on a 64x64 screen for testers to feel in control when recording the data.

Data Analysis for Childcare Centers
Part of the Impact Corps initiative by the UT Dell Medical School, my team worked with United Way to address technology gaps at 20+ Childcare Centers in the Austin area.
Centers needed to increase customer acquisition and well-qualified staffing, for which we compiled best practices, while reckoning with individual circumstances.
We also informed United Way's future approach, such as greater usage of shared resources and staff among the cohort.

Texas Entrepreneurship Scores
I built a live dashboard that allows users to analyze historic Texas entrepreneurship data.
Its objective was to show contrasts in various entrepreneurship predictor variables as well as to allow for the exploration of what socioeconomic factors may be driving or preventing growth.

REST API for Unreleased event platform
Developed a backend server for an unlaunched startup.
The REST API was built to handle both mobile and web clients, and the interface was documented extensively on Postman.
The Django backend handled

and everything in-between.

Oakland's I-980 pedestrian traffic flow
Together with Kai Liu, we improved upon the existing proposal to repurpose Oakland, CA's I-980 highway for BDP 319 Smart Cities course. We implemented a partial digital twin model of the area, including a 3-D model, an animation of cars and pedestrians moving in it, a computation of some quantitative changes this project would yield for the pedestrian population.
More precisely, I used the network flow algorithm to estimate quantitative improvements in pedestrians's routes, finding a 4.9% improvement in walking time from the disjointed West Oakland to Downtown.

Work Experience
I was last working as a software engineer at Broadleaf Commerce in Austin, TX.
Here are the things I contributed to at Broadleaf:
- Designed and built features/sponsored prototypes that multiple $10M+ Enterprise clients are actively using
- Built solutions for client support issues and created framework improvements with Java Spring
- Performed major version migrations across 10+ microservices & gateways with custom components to fit client specifications
I got to work on these exciting projects:
- Developed functionality for Customer Accounts which allowed Enterprise customers to create B2B stores
- Created 20+ endpoints across multiple microservices, along with processing and storage layers
- Built unit and integration tests for each of my contributions and QA-tested past tickets for a minor release
- Created a pipeline to pull years’ worth of data from a database into ElasticSearch
- Built customizable Kibana dashboards of various technical metrics using Vega scripting, replacing the Release team manually compiling 20+ Excel charts every 2 weeks
- Executed a data handling/storage system in Python, designed to handle up to 20 million entries/day from the company website’s logs
- Produced anonymized and encrypted data for usage in suspicious pattern classification neural networks
